Announcement of participation in eFuel Alliance

We are proud to announce that in May 2021, Yamabiko Corporation joined the eFuel Alliance which seeks to popularize environmentally-conscious synthetic fuels.

Over the approximately 70 years since the founding of our predecessors, KIORITZ CORPORATION and Shindaiwa Corporation, we have continued to develop and provide products that support nature and the environment around the world such as agriculture, forestry and green space management, as well as those that support the activities of the corporations and people involved with them.

Based on our corporate philosophy which states that we will "Create the bridge that bonds people and nature with the future," we have tasked ourselves with maintaining the earth's environment in an even better state, and to that end we have worked to develop and manufacture internal combustion engines with a low environmental impact. However the situation of the global environment worsens every year, and corporations are expected to take increasing measures to support the environment. The company's policy is to enhance our lineup of battery-powered products while pursuing future applications of carbon-free synthetic fuels in internal combustion engines.

[e-fuel] Fuels manufactured from the combination of carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen (H2) are called synthetic fuels. Since CO2 in the atmosphere is used as an ingredient, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere does not increase even when CO2 is emitted when the fuel is burned. The term e-fuel is applied particularly to fuels made from H2 produced using power from renewable energy sources so that CO2 is not emitted in the H2 manufacturing process.

[eFuel Alliance (Germany)] An alliance with the goal of establishing and popularizing carbon-neutral fuels that help prevent global warming (climate-neutral synthetic fuels) and seeing them used around the world. Its members are corporations, organizations and individuals from a variety of industries including oil, automobiles and automobile parts, machinery and plant engineering, aviation and marine transportation, chemistry and energy.
