Our company participated in the "Tokyo Greenship Action"
※organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and conducted nature conservation activities in the Ohme-Kaminariki Forest Conservation Area on April 28. Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic that began in 2020, our activities had been suspended, making this the first implementation in four years.
Forests play various public functions, such as mitigating droughts, preventing sediment disasters and global warming, and conserving biodiversity. Our company, which manufactures and sells products closely related to forests, such as chain saws, recognizes the significance of preserving invaluable forests and the importance of social contributions. As part of the training for new employees, we participate in this activity to personally experience and understand the significance of forest conservation.
On the day of the event, 21 new employees participated and experienced thinning and tree felling, repaired tree protection fences, and held workshops to discuss their experiences. We were blessed with good weather and were able to carry out fulfilling activities.
※The "Tokyo Greenship Action" is a collaborative effort among companies, NGOs, and others to preserve valuable natural environments, such as mountain forests,
satoyama in hilly areas, and mixed forests near urban areas, which remain in Tokyo.
