The Yamabiko Group establishes this Basic Policy to promote efforts related to the prevention of bribery in accordance with the stipulations of the Group's "Code of Conduct" and "Detailed Code of Conduct."
1.Compliance with Laws and Regulations
The Yamabiko Group shall comply with laws and regulations related to the prevention of bribery that apply in the countries and regions in which the Group conducts corporate activities.
2.Prohibition of Bribery
The Yamabiko Group shall not engage in any of the following actions:
(1) provision, promise, or offer for entertainment, gifts, money, or other benefits, directly or indirectly, to Japanese or foreign public officials or those in similar positions (hereinafter, "public officials") with the aim of obtaining or maintaining business convenience, and influencing the official duties of such public officials;
(2) payment to representatives, consultants, agents, etc., if such payments are used or suspected to be used for improper or illegal influence on public officials; and
(3) provision or acceptance of excessive entertainment, gifts, or other benefits beyond socially acceptable norms.
3.Activities
The Yamabiko Group shall engage in the following activities related to the prevention of bribery:
(1) establishment of regulations related to the prevention of bribery in accordance with the stipulations of this Basic Policy, and familiarization of employees with them; and
(2) appropriate handling of consultations and reports received by the Group Compliance Consultation Counter.
