Initiatives for Communities and Society

Social contribution activities

As we have stated in our Group philosophy, one of the Yamabiko Group’s significant beliefs is, “Support people and companies committed to sustaining nature and the environment,” and to that end we undertake a variety of activities to help society and the community.

■Guided tour of the company
We invite people from schools and preschools in the surrounding area to come for a guided tour. We teach them about companies, about work and about manufacturing. We hope it will be a precious experience that will guide them in future, and we pray that the children will grow up in good health.

■Community cleanup exercises
We regularly carry out cleanup exercises in the areas surrounding each of the Group's plants. At the head office, we clean the commuting route between the office and the nearest train station and strive to keep the environment neat out of gratitude to the people in the local community who take care of us every day.
■Community relations
Many employees, mainly from the Morioka Plant, take part in the Morioka Sansa Odori Festival, one of the five major festivals of the Tohoku region.
The Group takes active part in other local events as well, such as the Yokosuka Plant taking part in New Year firefighters' event annually.
