The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established as international goals in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development adopted at the UN summit in 2015. Many companies and organizations around the world are working actively to fulfill the SDGs.
Over the approximately 70 years since the founding of our predecessors, KIORITZ CORPORATION and Shindaiwa Corporation, Yamabiko Corporation has continued to develop and provide products that support nature and the environment around the world such as agriculture, forestry and green space management, as well as those that support the activities of the corporations and people involved with them. We believe that our business activities that “bond people and nature with the future,” as stated in our corporate philosophy, are linked to the SDGs' aim of helping to solve problems facing the natural and social environment.
We will continue our pursuit of the best manufacturing and services in the world that confront and resolve the issues facing a variety of customers. Through the expansion and development of this core business, we will aim to further contribute to the SDGs.
Here is how Yamabiko specifically contributes to the SDGs through its core businesses, broken down by business segment.
As shown above, Yamabiko has contributed to the achievement of five of the SDGs through its core businesses. We will not stop here but will strive vigorously to achieve the 17 SDG goals by spreading and deepening our corporate philosophy through which we seek to “Create the bridge that bonds people and nature with the future.” Our goal is to achieve a sustainable society by developing and selling high-quality, environmentally-friendly products that customers trust.
