YAMABIKO Corporation after the earthquake

Yamabiko Corporation appreciates heartwarming messages, inquiries, and supports we have been receiving from ECHO and Shindaiwa supporters all over the world.

The largest earthquake in our history and unpredictably huge tsunami waves stuck the northern part of Japan caused unimaginable damages and disruptions in the area, and the total damage is yet too early to estimate.

Fortunately, head office and three plants in Japan are not damaged and all employees are safe and sound. Morioka plant, which is located in the northern part of Japan, is functioning; however transportation, electricity, and other social infrastructure bring difficulties to maintain a steady production.

We have been working on a faster recovery and trying to maintain the production and spare parts supply as much as possible.

We are also checking the situation of the outside contractors and suppliers, and their well-being may affect the recovery process to a certain degree, if situation exists. We will upload further news as soon as situation evolves.
