Corporate Philosophy

Yamabiko Group’s corporate philosophy is formed from three elements: “Essence”, “Purpose of Existence” and “Code of Conduct”.
“Essence”, which incorporates both “Purpose of Existence” and “Code of Conduct”, expresses in a single word what Yamabiko Group aims to be as a company, and the essence of its corporate activities.
“Purpose of Existence” sets out the role and responsibilities of Yamabiko Group in society, and makes a commitment to this.
“Code of Conduct” defines the attitude of each Yamabiko Group employee in relation to their work.

In addition to the above, we have formulated Detailed Code of Conduct that indicates specific ways to respond to situations as a supplement to the Code of Conduct, and we strive to ensure that business activities are conducted according to our corporate philosophy.

  • Abide by domestic and international laws, engage in fair business practices and behave in line with social norms.
  • Provide beneficial and safe products and services to society based on fair competition and obtain the trust and satisfaction of customers.
  • Maintain fair, impartial and healthy relationships with shareholders, customers, business partners and all other stakeholders.
  • Fulfill our duty of considerate accountability to stakeholders through the proactive and impartial disclosure of company information, and do not engage in behavior that constitutes insider trading or provide benefits or advantages to third parties through the use of unpublished information.
  • Respect the fundamental human rights of all people and do not engage in actions that infringe on individual dignity for reasons such as nationality, race, religion, gender, age, social standing or the presence or absence of disabilities.
  • Ensure that workplace environments are safe and comfortable and bring comfort and true satisfaction to employees.
  • Build a system for managing customer information and internal information appropriately, and ensure that information classified as company secrets is not disclosed or leaked outside the company or used for personal purposes without permission both during the time of employment and after leaving the company.
  • Do not abuse your superior transactional or business position to cause unjust disadvantage to others, and do not accept unjust benefits or advantages from others.
  • Strive to secure and maintain intellectual property rights, and at the same time respect the intellectual property of others and do not infringe on it or use it without authorization.
  • Be aware of yourself as a good corporate citizen and work actively to contribute to the community and address environmental issues.
  • Adopt a resolute attitude against anti-social activities and forces that threaten the order and safety of civil society and sever all relationships with them.
  • Comply with international rules and local laws when conducting international business activities, respect customs and cultures and contribute to the development of that region.
  • Recognize the importance of protecting personal information in IT society and strive to protect personal information.
  • Top management will disclose information speedily and appropriately about its stance towards problem-solving both inside and outside the company as necessary, and about investigating the cause and striving to prevent a recurrence.
